Scorpion Type HT coarse thread drywall screws are designed for attaching gypsum board to wood studs and general purpose wood to wood applications. The Bugle Head, coarse thread sharp point is used for the attachment of drywall, wood and composite or core board to light (20-Gauge to 25-Gauge) steel stud or light gauge metal. Use standard screw gun with depth sensitive nose piece. Suggested screw gun for optimum performance is 4 Amp minimum and 0 to 4,000 rpm. Bugle Head is completely seated when the head is flush with the work surface. Overdriving may result in failure of the fastener, the metal the fastener is attaching to or stripping of the head recess. Penetration of 3 thread pitches beyond the penetrated metal is minimum.
